- What's the Euribor?

- What is an exchange rate used for?

- What are the risks associated with cryptocurrencies?

These were some of the questions that the students from the Pombal Secondary School had to answer in the Money Quiz promoted by the APB to mark the Financial Education Day. This initiative took place on 29 October, as part of the celebrations of the Financial Training Week, which this year were held in Pombal.

The Money Quiz was played by around 120 9th and 10th grade students. From these, 15 were shortlisted to go to the national final, which will be held in March 2019. The two students who obtain the best score in this national final will go to Brussels to represent Portugal in the European final of the European Money Quiz.

In addition to the Quiz, the APB also promoted Workshops on saving and budget management targeting around 60 students.

Both initiatives were developed with the support of volunteers from the APB Financial Education Working Group.

The Financial Training Week is an initiative under the National Financial Training Plan, of which the APB is a partner. Its aim is to raise awareness among the population to the importance of financial literacy. Financial Training Week sessions took place from 29 October to 2 November in various parts of the country, addressing different target audiences. At the Pombal Secondary School, around 1060 students were involved, from the 3rd to the 12th school year.
