New joint bank prevention and awareness campaign appeals for proper use of internet access devices.

The APB Interbank Online Security Forum, whose members include important financial institutions, has launched a campaign entitled “safe cliking at Christmas. The campaign is designed to raise users' awareness and make sure that they know what precautions to take when online and use computers and smart phones sensibly.

It stresses the importance of vigilance and attention to security, especially in the festive season when there is normally an increase in crimes such as phishing and other online attacks.

The forum encourages users to contact their bank immediately if they find that the data requested on their home banking access page have been changed without prior notice from the bank.
