The Portuguese Banking Association (APB) once again associated itself to the World Savings Day / Financial Training Day commemorations, having participated in the initiatives that the National Financial Training Plan (PNFF) promoted in Faro, at that city's Municipal Theatre.

The event, dedicated this year to the theme "Financial training in support of micro and small enterprises", took place on Friday 30 October, the day before that on which the World Savings Day is officially celebrated.

The APB was represented with a stall, where eight final-year students from the Banking Techniques and Operations Course of the Banking Training Institute (IFB) had the opportunity to interact with young students, teachers and also professionals from the financial and business areas.

Several activities were developed, such as the Quiz "Test your financial culture", where questions about banking services and products were put to visitors to assess their financial culture, and the “Saving Tips” Wall, where visitors were invited to write down a saving idea.

The first Financial Education Booklet was presented at this event. This manual, addressed to students in the 1st cycle of basic education, was developed under a protocol entered into by the Ministry of Education and Science, the financial supervisors and four financial sector associations, one of which the APB.
